2017 IMPACT YOUNG ARTISTS COMPETITION RULES
The Young Artists Competition is open to all aspiring professional performers and all instrumentalists under age 19. Audition repertoire should include one original composition. The piece must be performed from memory and the time limit is four and half minutes. If the time limit is exceeded, an additional fee will be charged for the audition. Proper dress attire is required. NO dresses shorter than knee level, jeans, sneakers, tennis shoes, flip flops, open-toe shoes, shorts, tank tops, or t-shirts.
Audition Date: Sunday, December 3rd Live at MiLa’s Debut School of Music
The winner will be announced on the IMPACT website after the audition.
There are two fees:
- Audition Fee
- Recital Fee
The standard Application Fee is $70 for a single selection of no more than four and half minutes. If the duration of the performance exceeds the time limit but is less than 8 minutes, the fee is $95.
For ensembles, there is $60 per participant within the time limit. A fee of $85 per participant will be charged if the performance exceeds the time limit but is less than 8 minutes. Multiple entries are accepted.

The concert package is $210 for Soloists (includes 4 tickets), and $145 per student for ensembles (includes 2 tickets for each student).
Silver: 12:00pm – 3:00 pm

The concert package is $210 for soloists who’s performance is under four and half minutes (includes 4 tickets), and $290 for soloists who’s performance time is more than the time limit (includes 4 tickets), and $145 per student for ensembles (includes 2 tickets for each student). Once a participant is selected as a winner, they are required to give a mandatory performance at the winner concert. If a student fails to attend the winner concert, they will be disqualified from receiving their award. Failure to attend the concert will result in the disqualification of the student and the student will not receive their award.
